Job Description

Position Purpose The Cloud Infra Director is responsible for shaping Tookitaki’s cloud strategy by designing and managing a robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure across all product lines. This role ensures that cloud services adhere to regulatory requirements, optimize performance and cost, and drive innovation. By leading a team of cloud engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing best-in-class cloud security measures, this position plays a key role in enhancing the reliability, scalability, and security of Tookitaki’s infrastructure. Key Responsibilities 1. Cloud Infrastructure Management ○ Lead the architectural design, deployment, and operational management of Tookitaki’s cloud infrastructure. ○ Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of Tookitaki’s cloud-based solutions. ○ Continuously improve infrastructure automation and monitoring. 2. Financial and Resource Optimization ○ Oversee cloud infrastructure costs, implementing cost-efficient strategies without compromising performance. ○ Drive resource allocation strategies to ensure cloud efficiency and sustainability. ○ Analyze cloud spending trends and identify areas for cost savings. 3. Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration ○ Lead a team of cloud engineers, ensuring technical excellence and professional growth. ○ Work closely with Product, Development, and Customer Success teams to align infrastructure with business needs. ○ Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and security-first mindset. 4. Cloud Automation and CI/CD Implementation ○ Drive automation in cloud deployment, monitoring, and scaling. ○ Implement CI/CD best practices to streamline deployment processes. ○ Enhance system observability through log monitoring and incident response frameworks. Key OKRs 1. Ensure 99.99% uptime for all cloud infrastructure supporting Tookitaki’s products. 2. Reduce cloud infrastructure costs by 25% through optimization and resource allocation. 3. Implement 100% automated cloud infrastructure monitoring and alerting. 4. Improve deployment efficiency by reducing release cycle time by 40%. Qualifications and Skills Education ● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. ● Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred). Experience ● 12+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. ● Proven experience in managing cloud security, compliance, and cost optimization in a financial services environment. ● Experience in rolling out and managing infrastructure for counter-fraud systems or payment platforms is essential. Technical Expertise ● Strong expertise in cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation). ● Deep knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). ● Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps automation, and cloud-native technologies. ● Proven ability to create and execute strategies that balance high availability with cost optimization. Soft Skills ● Strategic leadership with a strong ability to influence and drive cloud adoption. ● Exceptional communication skills to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. ● Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and automation. ● Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and implement security best practices.
