Informatica Power Center Developer/Senior Developer

Job Summary

The Informatica Power Center Developer/Senior Developer will play a critical role in the development and administration of ETL processes utilizing Informatica PowerCenter. This position will focus on ETL migration and data conversion projects, ensuring effective data integration solutions that meet the organization’s data management needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Participate in ETL migration projects, specifically converting systems from DataStage to Informatica Power Center.
• Perform data modeling, including star and snowflake schema techniques, to optimize data warehousing solutions.
• Ensure performance tuning of SQL queries and troubleshoot ETL processes for efficient data transfer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide solutions and resolve complex data integration issues.
• Document ETL processes, data models, and analytical findings for stakeholder review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-8 years of experience in ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational databases, particularly Oracle and SQL Server.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience in performance tuning of SQL queries.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong analytical capabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with DataStage.
• Expertise in On-Prem Development.
• Familiarity with Informatica Cloud (IICS) or other cloud-based ETL tools.
• Knowledge of data modeling and data governance best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA for project management.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Experience

• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in ETL development.
