Network Engineer

Job Summary

The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the organization's network infrastructure. This role ensures seamless network performance, security, and reliability, contributing to the organization's daily operations and long-term technical goals.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN) based on organizational requirements.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
• Configure and install network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related appliances.
• Implement network security measures and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to support system integration and resolve technical problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and technologies.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
• Expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are highly desirable.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Bash).
• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of SDN (Software Defined Networking) concepts.
• Exposure to network monitoring tools and solutions.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a related position.
• Experience with enterprise-level network design, deployment, and support.

Environment

• Location: Chennai, India.
• Work Type: Full-Time, Onsite.
• Typical office environment with occasional requirements for after-hours or weekend work to support critical network maintenance and upgrades.

Salary

• ₹12,00,000 – ₹17,00,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications).
