KC Overseas Education is currently seeking a Vice President - People to join our growing team and take charge of this strategic position to execute the growth plans of the organization.
As the Vice President - People, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with the company's mission, values, and business objectives. You will oversee all aspects of human resources, talent management, and organizational development, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a key member of the leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making and driving the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities
- People Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company's overall people strategy, including recruitment, talent management, performance evaluation, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Partner with the leadership team to align the people strategy with the business strategy and goals.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to managers and employees on people-related matters.
- Foster a positive work environment that reflects the company's culture and values.
- Lead and develop a high-performing HR team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Design and implement effective recruitment and selection strategies to attract top talent.
- Analyse the manpower requirement and accordingly plan for the recruitment. Ensure the recruitment is complete within set timeframe and qualitative candidates are recruited
- Tie-ups with A-Grade institutions for campus recruitment.
- Oversee the talent management lifecycle, including onboarding, training and development, performance management, and retention.
- Collaborate with managers to identify talent gaps and develop proactive strategies for talent acquisition and development.
- Performance and Culture:
- Develop and implement performance management systems, processes, and tools to drive accountability and high performance across the organization.
- Do succession planning across all the business units.
- Lead the development of department goals, objectives, and systems. Provide leadership for Human Resources strategic planning.
- Foster a culture of continuous feedback, learning, and development.
- Develop targets and bonus plans for team as well individuals across functions and implement performance bonus schemes.
- Organizational Development:
- Drive organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication, engagement, and support throughout the process.
- Assess and enhance organizational structure, roles, and responsibilities to support business objectives.
- Identify and address skill gaps and development needs within the organization.
- Drive employee development programs, including training, mentoring, and career development opportunities.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Collaborate with the leadership team and finance department to design and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent.
- Conduct regular market analysis to ensure the company's compensation packages remain competitive and aligned with industry standards.
- Monitor and manage employee benefit programs, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and industry trends.
- Employee Relations and Communications:
- Develop and implement effective employee communication strategies to ensure transparent and timely information flow throughout the organization.
- Oversee the resolution of employee grievances and conflicts, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
- Employee Engagement and Well-being:
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being.
- Implement programs and policies that support work-life balance, employee recognition, and employee retention.
- HR Analytics and Reporting:
- Establish and analyze key HR metrics and data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Utilize data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Stay updated on relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate HR-related risks and maintain a safe and inclusive work environment.
Key Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with command over spoken and written English as well as the local language
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills.
- General knowledge of various employment laws and practices
- Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs, incentive planning, appraisal system, defining hierarchy and other Human Resources recognition and engagement programs and processes.
- Excellent problem resolution skills and logical thinking

Qualification and Experience
- Post-Graduate in Business Management (Specialization in HR preferred)
- 12-15 years of experience in HR functions
- Minimum 5 years of experience in team management
