Job Summary
The ETL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and optimizing ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter and related tools. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth data integration workflows and maintaining data quality and accuracy within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and optimize ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter and associated tools.
- Extract and load data from various source/target systems, including Snowflake, Oracle SQL, flat files, and XML sources.
- Utilize transformations such as Expression, Router, Filter, Lookup, XML Parser, Update Strategy, Union, Joiner, and Aggregator.
- Implement and understand pushdown optimization, partitioning levels, and types to enhance process efficiency.
- Construct mappings, mapping tasks, task flows, schedules, and parameter files for robust data integration processes.
- Apply ETL techniques and concepts including change data capture, slowly changing dimensions, parallel processing, and bulk processing.
- Optimize performance, handle errors, debug issues, and monitor ETL processes.
- Conduct data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
- Participate in migration projects as needed.
- Write complex SQL queries and utilize SQL analytical functions effectively.
- Maintain a deep understanding of data warehouse concepts and ETL frameworks.
- Proficiently perform data manipulation, advanced querying, and performance tuning using SQL.
- Utilize UNIX commands and shell scripting in daily tasks.
- Address and resolve query performance issues in Snowflake environments.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with Informatica PowerCenter and ETL processes.
- Solid knowledge of Snowflake, Oracle SQL, and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server).
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and knowledge of SQL analytical functions.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL frameworks.
