Job Summary

The Data Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing Selector’s operational analytics solution, focusing on networks, applications, and security workflows. This position will involve hands-on integration of the product to meet customer requirements and ensuring that customers can effectively utilize and extend Selector’s capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical expert on Selector’s operational analytics solution for networks, applications, and security workflows.
  • Take a hands-on role in integrating the product to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Deploy Selector’s solution at customer sites, understanding their data, workflow, and analytics needs.
  • Ensure customers are adequately enabled for use, comprehension, and self-service extensions of Selector’s capabilities.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and partners during pre-sales activities.
  • Own the design, development, and execution plans for Proof of Concept (POC) projects, leading them to successful deployment.
  • Propose enhancements and gather customer feedback to improve product features and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Proficient in coding with Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Experienced with database technologies.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of relevant hands-on coding experience.
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS CloudFormation Templates, and YAML.
  • Proficient in designing SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data using Jupyter Notebook.
  • Strong communication and comprehension skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with data analytics concepts.

Preferred Skills

  • Additional experience with data visualization tools and frameworks would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and their application in data engineering would be a plus.

Experience
