QA Test Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced QA Test Lead to manage and guide a team of QA engineers. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and integrity of our software products, leveraging strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in automation, and a deep knowledge of quality assurance strategies, continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, and test data management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of QA Engineers to uphold high-quality standards.
• Conceive, plan, and prioritize data-driven QA projects that align with company objectives.
• Ensure high levels of data quality and integrity across all software applications.
• Integrate automation and testing into CI/CD pipelines involving regression, functional, and integration testing.
• Interpret and analyze data and software issues for effective resolution.
• Perform initial debugging and code analysis on test failures to determine root causes.
• Build and drive comprehensive test strategies, methodologies, and site monitoring for infrastructure and high availability.
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to implement and enforce quality gates across the software pipeline.
• Identify and communicate risks, as well as propose improvements across products and frameworks.
• Define and manage test data architecture and requests to support testing activities.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years in QA/testing with a minimum of 3 years in a lead role.
• Leadership Skills: Strong understanding of the QA lifecycle and development processes.
• Test Automation & Tools:
  • Experience with TestRail for test case management.
  • Hands-on experience with REST API automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver automation for both desktop and mobile applications.
  • Experience in REST Assured API automation and automating email notification-based flows and triggers.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, TestNG, Cucumber, Selenium Grid, etc.
  • Capable of creating/updating automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Familiar with front-end automation and integration testing.
  • Understanding of test strategies such as Behavior Driven Development (BDD), Keyword Driven, and Hybrid frameworks.
• CI/CD & DevOps Integration:
  • Working knowledge of Gradle/Maven, Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with cloud execution platforms such as BrowserStack, Kobiton, and LambdaTest.
  • Good to have experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Testing Expertise:
  • Able to design reusable components, optimize code, and perform refactoring.
  • Proficient in test planning, execution, and scope definition.
  • Comfortable conducting performance, scalability, and compatibility testing.
  • Knowledgeable in data validation and test dataset creation.
• Database & Backend: Strong understanding of relational databases and proficiency in SQL queries.

Experience

8+ years in QA/testing with at least 3 years in a lead role is required.
