Job Summary

The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in expanding the network of eye care hospitals. This proactive and result-oriented individual will be responsible for building partnerships with eye specialists, ophthalmologists, and healthcare professionals, focusing on the establishment of new eye hospital centers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach eye specialist doctors, ophthalmologists, optometrists, and healthcare professionals for partnership opportunities.
  • Generate leads for new eye hospital centers in potential locations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with doctors, clinics, healthcare consultants, and local medical networks.
  • Conduct market research to identify high-potential areas for new eye care centers.
  • Coordinate meetings with doctors and healthcare stakeholders to explain the business model and partnership opportunities.
  • Support management in evaluating new center opportunities, doctor tie-ups, and referral partnerships.
  • Utilize social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and healthcare communities to engage potential doctors and partners.
  • Maintain a database of prospective doctors, clinics, hospitals, and business leads.
  • Follow up with leads regularly and provide updates to the management team.
  • Represent the organization professionally at healthcare events, doctor meets, camps, and local networking activities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams for onboarding doctors and supporting new center launch activities.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, with a minimum of 5 years in the healthcare, hospital, clinic, or medical services industry.
  • Prior experience in ophthalmology, eye hospitals, diagnostics, specialty clinics, or hospital expansion is preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to connect confidently with doctors and senior healthcare professionals.
  • Active presence on social media and comfort with digital platforms for networking and lead generation.
  • Good understanding of local healthcare markets and doctor referral networks.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and willing to travel for meetings and market visits.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office, Google Sheets, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, or lead tracking systems.
