Job Summary

We are seeking a senior technology and product leader for a fast-growing, digital-first consumer brand based in Mumbai. This pivotal role will oversee the company's technology, product, data, analytics, and AI roadmap, working closely with the founding team and senior business leadership. The role is at the intersection of business, technology, operations, and customer experience, responsible for building and scaling platforms that support digital commerce, internal operations, data infrastructure, and AI-driven transformation. The leader will manage a cross-functional team across Engineering, Product, Data, Business Intelligence, and AI initiatives to drive innovation, efficiency, and growth.

Responsibilities

• Technology Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute the long-term technology roadmap aligned with business priorities.
  • Build scalable and reliable architecture for all critical systems.
  • Drive technology investments, platform development, and prioritization decisions.
  • Establish a high-performance engineering culture focused on speed, reliability, ownership, and measurable business impact.
  • Build, mentor, and retain high-performing technology and product teams.

• Digital Product & Customer Experience

  • Own the roadmap for the website, mobile app, and all customer-facing digital experiences.
  • Improve conversion rates, retention, personalization, and overall customer journeys.
  • Lead experimentation, A/B testing, and product-led growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Growth, Marketing, CRM, and commercial teams.

• Internal Platforms & Business Systems

  • Manage internal platforms and tools across operations, supply chain, finance, customer support, and commercial functions.
  • Lead ERP implementation, workflow automation, and process digitization initiatives.
  • Use technology to enhance efficiency, visibility, and execution across the organization.

• Data, BI & Decision Intelligence

  • Own the data strategy, analytics infrastructure, and business intelligence roadmap.
  • Build a reliable single source of truth across functions.
  • Enable self-serve reporting and data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with functional leaders to identify and deliver high-impact analytics use cases.

• AI & Automation

  • Shape and execute the organization’s AI roadmap.
  • Identify high-value AI opportunities across customer experience, marketing, operations, supply chain, and decision support.
  • Drive adoption of AI agents, copilots, workflow automation, and intelligent internal tools.
  • Ensure AI initiatives deliver measurable commercial and operational outcomes.

• Data & Infrastructure Security

  • Govern the corporate data-security framework, including access management, encryption, and compliance with DPDP Act 2023 and GDPR.
  • Establish RBAC protocols across cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and SaaS tools.
  • Implement zero-trust and least-privilege security principles.
  • Oversee security audits, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and vendor risk reviews.
  • Ensure secure third-party integrations through rigorous assessments.

• Build vs. Buy Decisions

  • Evaluate SaaS platforms versus in-house development.
  • Optimize technology investments for scalability, speed, and flexibility.
  • Ensure the technology stack supports the company's next growth phase.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience across Technology, Product, Engineering, Digital Transformation, or related leadership roles.
• At least 5 years of product leadership experience.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams spanning Engineering, Product, Data, and Analytics.
• Demonstrated success in building and scaling technology organizations with teams of 10+ members.
• Strong understanding of digital commerce, consumer internet, e-commerce, marketplaces, or high-growth digital businesses.
• Experience with Shopify or comparable commerce platforms is an advantage.
• Strong commercial orientation with the ability to translate business priorities into scalable solutions.
• Hands-on, outcome-driven leadership style capable of operating effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Educational qualifications such as BTech, BSc, MTech, or equivalent are preferred.
