Job Description - Merchandising manager- (Demand & Supply) (Retail and Ecom, MBO, EBO, Buying, Product) Location: Noida, sec 11 Outhouse is looking for talented and experienced merchandising manager to create, oversee, and implement merchandising strategies (Demand & Supply) (Retail and Ecom, MBO, EBO, Buying, Product). You will manage a team of marketing and merchandising professionals to ensure that all deadlines, inventory requirements, and customer orders are completed in a timely manner. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and deadline-driven individual with experience managing a small to medium-size team. This role also requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a creative eye for sourcing presenting jewellery and accessories. Minimum Merchandising Experience: 5-7+ years, Full time Responsibilities: • Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customers’ expectations and company’s objectives. • Production Forecast: Providing an accurate and high-quality forecast supported by historical Sales, business plans, marketing events, sell through patterns, liabilities, planed contingencies. • Liquidation of Merchandise: Performing SKU-wise, category-wise sales-stock analysis, identify slow moving categories/Articles or Dead Inventory and provide the feedback to the management for means of liquidating the same and EOSS strategies. • Merchandise Allocation: Maintains in stock goals through effective product distribution. Analyse sales history and trend to maximize sales potential by developing allocation strategies that maintain proper store inventory levels. • Stock allocation and redistribution of stock to maintain expected Sell through. • Production & Supplier Plans: Preparing monthly plans in Production Planning System (PPS) by analysing projected sales, stock in hand, supplier production capacity and new arrivals to make perfect merchandise assortment and then passing on to supplier plans ensuring smooth supply chain management. • Review Sales & Marketing historical inputs; analysing sales pattern, determining exceptions on monthly basis and monitoring demand forecast exceptions and ensuring to address action plans. • Collaborate with internal factory/s, suppliers, distributors, and analysts to negotiate prices, quantities, and timescales. • Visual Merchandise: Produce layout plans for stores and maintain store shelves and inventory. • Remain up to date with industry’s best practices and market trends. • Proactively manage & maintain Omnichannel merchandising & Instore Visual merchandising. • Financial Planning: Works with all teams monthly to deliver sales, turnover and profit goals and understand sales and markdown trends. Partner with teams in order to forecast inventory and turnover for specific seasonal and basic product flow strategies. • Forecast profits/sales and plan budgets. • Analyse sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock. • Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear outs etc. • Build constructive customer relationships and team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals. • Pre-season financial plans (Sales and purchase budget), • Preparing Annual Operation Plan (AOP) in terms on month wise category wise inventory projection • In-season projections and OTB planning. Ensure effective In-Season inventory balancing and markdown management. • Provide Stock projections and manage the monthly Inflow. • Cross functional coordination for timely roll out of the promotional campaigns. • Ensure Performance is measured against the budgeted plans. • Seasonal product training to store teams about the new launches. Requirements: • Proven working experience in merchandising. • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivate. • Up to date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices. • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. • Excellent is Reports and MIS • Strong listening, presentation, and decision-making skills. • Commercial acumen and the ability to “decode” customers. • Degree in Marketing, Retail, or related field. MIS & REPORTS MIS Analytics – Time to time analysis for top and bottom sellers, stock turn over, categories on degrowth and their reason, discounting etc to ensure targeted sell thru planned for the season. Sell thru Performance – Preparing weekly sell thru report for EBO, MBO, Ecom, stockist and Store, Fortnightly summary for all POS to compare budgeted sell thru vs actual sell thru. Also, identifying top sellers and bottom sellers at category and sub-category level on basis, sold volume, sell thru/week and taking corrective measures to push slow movers. OTB Management – Analysing Open To Buy received from commercial, comparing it with previous season and splitting the OTB at a gender and category level in top sheet and cat sheet. Mapping collection/ capsule wise orders at store-category level to have the season till date orders and balance OTB for further orders to be placed. Tracking Inwards – Tracking warehouse inwards for all the channels to ensure that the delivery timelines committed by production are met for each option. Also, highlighting the impact of delays in delivery to the management and further propose order cancellation due to delay in delivery. Volume Projection and Gross Margin – Option wise volume projection at category-subcategory- MRP level for any given season is done on historical orders for season to project the GM%. Mapping the actual GM% on initial orders against the projected gross margin percentage. Range Planning – Preparing Assortment Plan at gender-category-subcategory- MRP level for the new season launch based on previous years’ sell thru. EOSS data with initial orders and final orders at option level along with option target given by the management. ****
