We bring the highest-quality fabrics and international fashion trends to our customers, with promoters from the family of Banswara Syntex, one of the world’s leading textile makers, and the backing of marquee institutional investors including Sorin Investments. Recognized as one of India’s leading emerging D2C fashion start-ups three years in a row, we are building a fashion brand from India for the world.
Job Summary
The Operations is the lifeblood of our company. The General Manager – Operations will own the end-to-end supply chain — from strategic sourcing and vendor management through inventory planning, warehousing, and last-mile delivery. This leader will be accountable for making our operations faster, leaner, and more accurate, ensuring quicker deliveries at lower costs, near-perfect inventory accuracy, and a sourcing engine that consistently delivers on cost, quality, and lead time. This is a senior leadership role working directly with the founders, with full ownership of teams, partners, budgets, and outcomes.
Responsibilities
-
Warehouse & Fulfilment Operations (3PL Management)
- Own end-to-end 3PL warehouse partnerships — contracts, SLAs, and performance management across a fulfilment network serving D2C, marketplace, and retail channels.
- Drive speed of delivery through same-day dispatch, tight pick-pack-ship turnaround times, and continuous throughput improvement.
- Deliver best-in-class inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and shrinkage control across all warehouses and channels.
- Optimize fulfilment cost per order — storage, handling, manpower productivity, and packaging — while raising service levels.
- Design the warehouse network for the next stage of scale, including replenishment for a growing retail footprint.
-
Logistics & Last-Mile Delivery
- Manage the logistics partner portfolio end-to-end: partner selection, rate negotiations, allocation logic, and weekly performance scorecards on turnaround time, breaches, and costs.
- Increase same-day and next-day delivery penetration through partner mix, regional inventory placement, and serviceability expansion.
- Optimize cost per shipment while improving delivery success rates; reduce Return to Origin through sharper Non-Delivery Report management.
- Streamline reverse logistics — returns, exchanges, and alterations for faster turnaround and lower cost per return.
-
Inventory Planning & Forecasting
- Build a rigorous demand and supply forecasting discipline across all channels.
- Own buy planning including order quantities, production phasing, and stock-cover targets that balance availability with working capital.
- Drive allocation and replenishment across warehouses, marketplaces, and stores to maximize full-price sell-through.
- Institutionalize planning metrics with clear review cadences.
-
Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Lead sourcing strategy across fabric and garmenting vendors, including vendor development and capacity planning.
- Drive cost negotiations to structurally improve product margins.
- Reduce lead times across the sourcing-to-shelf cycle through process re-engineering and vendor collaboration.
- Implement statistical quality control to raise product quality and cut returns.
-
Team, Systems & Execution
- Hire, build, and lead high-performing teams across planning, warehousing, logistics, and sourcing.
- Implement the right technology stack for the next stage of scale.
- Run a tight operating cadence of metrics, reviews, and root-cause problem solving across the operations organization.
- Improve customer satisfaction by delivering operational excellence from the moment an order is placed to the moment it is delivered.
