Job Summary

The Automation Engineer will develop and maintain automated test scripts utilizing Cypress, focusing on both UI and API testing. This role is critical for ensuring the functionality and performance of applications through automated testing as part of the continuous integration and delivery process.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress (JavaScript).
• Perform UI and API testing to validate functionality and performance.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, primarily using Jenkins.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Continuously improve test coverage and automation frameworks.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Manage testing activities using JIRA and document processes in Confluence.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Skills:

  • Minimum of 2+ years recent experience with Cypress for API and UI Automation.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL.
  • Familiarity with JMeter for performance testing (load, bottleneck, stress).
  • Experience with Jenkins for test execution and build processes.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Proficiency in JIRA for test management.

• Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional testing frameworks and tools.
• Knowledge of other programming languages or testing methodologies.

Experience

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in software testing and automation.

Environment

• The position is available for any PSL location, with a preference for candidates who can start immediately.
