Job Summary

The Senior Program Manager for Supply Chain Transformation and Plant Digitalization is responsible for overseeing the designated Supply Chain and Plant Operations domain. The primary objective of this role is to drive the integration of digital and technological solutions that enable the safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing of trucks. The position demands a continuous commitment to operational excellence and a mindset focused on relentless technology advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Supply Chain and Plant Operations with a hands-on experience in Logistic Planning & Engineering and Plant Digitalization, emphasizing a digital and technology-first mindset.
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline supply chain processes, improve lead times, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and deploy digital solutions (e.g., ERP, MES, predictive analytics, IoT) to improve transparency, responsiveness, and automation within the supply chain and operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and quality to ensure alignment and integration of initiatives.
  • Lead digital transformation projects to streamline processes and improve data visibility and decision-making.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor KPIs, analyze supply chain performance, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead change management activities and foster a culture of innovation and operational excellence in Supply Chain & Operations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and corporate policies.
  • Benchmark industry best practices and implement competitive strategies to maintain the company's leadership in supply chain and operational excellence.
  • Manage budgeting, resource planning, and performance evaluation for the team.
  • Connect with plants in Germany and other locations to understand pain areas and provide digital and technological solutions.
  • Implement lean agile methodologies (SAFe) and continuous improvement practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 12 - 15 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Proven track record of innovation, including product, process, and business innovation, along with publications and technology advancements.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital transformation within complex supply chain and operations environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean Management, SAFe, APICS CPIM/CSCP.
  • Experience in implementing digital twin, smart factory, and/or Industry 4.0 initiatives.
  • Exposure to international supply chains and supplier management.
  • Basic German language skills (B1 certification), with the ability to communicate in German being an added advantage.

Experience

  • 12 to 15 years of relevant experience, specifically in the automotive industry, with a focus on supply chain and operations management.
