Job Summary
The Group Finance Controller will lead the finance controllership function across multiple entities within the group. The role is responsible for strengthening financial controls, managing cash flow and balance sheets, ensuring regulatory and tax compliance, and establishing robust financial processes and governance frameworks. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in multi-entity finance management, with a focus on manufacturing/plant finance, working capital, treasury, transfer pricing, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities

Group Finance & Controllership
- Lead finance controllership across multiple group entities, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent financial reporting.
- Drive group-level accounting, closing, consolidation, and financial reporting processes.
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance across entities.
- Partner with business and entity finance teams to improve financial discipline and decision-making.

Cash Flow & Balance Sheet Management
- Own group cash flow, working capital, and balance sheet management.
- Monitor liquidity, receivables, payables, inventory, and working capital cycles across entities.
- Drive cash-flow forecasting and identify opportunities to optimize working capital.
- Manage inter-company balances, funding requirements, and treasury matters.

Manufacturing / Plant Finance
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing/plant leadership on plant finance, cost management, inventory, and operational finance.
- Provide financial visibility into manufacturing performance, costs, and unit economics.
- Ensure robust financial controls and processes at plant and operational levels.

Tax, Transfer Pricing & Regulatory
- Oversee compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements across group entities.
- Manage transfer pricing, inter-company transactions, and documentation.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely completion of statutory audits and regulatory filings.

Process & Governance Build-out
- Assess existing finance processes and identify gaps.
- Establish and standardize financial processes, SOPs, controls, and governance frameworks.
- Drive automation and process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and visibility.
- Build scalable finance systems and reporting structures to support group growth.

Business Partnership
- Collaborate with the CFO, business heads, and entity leadership on financial performance and key business decisions.
- Provide insights on working capital, profitability, cash conversion, and balance sheet performance.
- Support management with financial analysis and decision-making beyond core controllership.
Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: CA (Chartered Accountant)
- Experience: 12+ years of post-qualification experience
- Strong expertise in group-level finance and controllership across multiple entities
- Proven experience in cash flow, working capital, and balance sheet management
- Mandatory experience in manufacturing/plant finance
- Knowledge of transfer pricing, inter-company transactions, and regulatory compliance
- Experience in building or strengthening finance processes, internal controls, and governance frameworks
- Hands-on experience working in complex, multi-entity environments with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to operate in a process-building and transformation environment
- Proven track record of working with senior management, CFOs, external auditors, and tax advisors
