Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator with strong database development capabilities to manage and optimize our database environment. The role requires expertise in both MySQL Server and NoSQL technologies, ensuring that our data infrastructure is reliable, secure, and performs optimally to support organizational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain database systems to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Design, develop, and implement robust databases using MySQL Server and NoSQL solutions.
  • Perform regular backup and recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Optimize queries and troubleshoot performance issues to maintain efficient data operations.
  • Collaborate with application developers and IT teams to support and enhance database functionality.
  • Implement database security policies and monitor access patterns to safeguard organizational data.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in database administration and development, specifically with MySQL Server and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • Solid knowledge of backup and recovery strategies as well as database security best practices.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex data and performance issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (e.g., BSc, BTech).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages and automation tools is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud-based database platforms and services.
  • Knowledge of additional database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and data governance practices.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience

  • Relevant professional experience in database administration and development, with demonstrable expertise in managing MySQL Server and NoSQL databases.
  • A background of 3-5 years or more in a similar role is desirable.
