Job Summary

The Data QA-ETL Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of data through rigorous testing of ETL processes. This role contributes to the organization’s goals by validating data accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with defined standards throughout the data processing pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data validation and profiling using SQL to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Execute ETL testing by following established QA methodologies to confirm successful data transformation.
• Collaborate on ETL automation frameworks, leveraging tools such as PyTest, dbt tests, or custom Python solutions.
• Utilize data quality and validation tools (e.g., Great Expectations, Informatica DVO, Talend Data Quality) to maintain high data standards.
• Analyze and understand concepts related to data warehousing and data lakehouse, including Silver and Gold layers.
• Verify and validate Retail/Stock business data to ensure compliance with business requirements.
• Work with CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices to integrate testing into the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation and profiling.
• Hands-on experience with ETL testing and established QA methodologies.
• Familiarity with ETL automation frameworks, including tools like PyTest or dbt.
• Experience with data quality tools (e.g., Great Expectations, Informatica DVO, Talend).
• Solid understanding of data warehousing and data lakehouse concepts.
• Knowledge of Retail/Stock business data validation (preferred).
• Strong analytical skills for identifying and resolving data issues.
• Excellent debugging and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with data quality and validation frameworks.

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Quality Assurance and ETL testing, including hands-on work with data validation.
