Lead QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks to ensure the quality, stability, and reliability of our applications. This role offers the flexibility of working fully remote while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and/or mobile applications.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Identify, document, and track defects; verify fixes and perform regression testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain and improve automation frameworks and testing processes.
• Perform root cause analysis of defects and drive improvements in product quality.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest QA automation tools, techniques, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of experience in QA automation testing.
• Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
• Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
• Experience with API automation testing (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
