Job Summary

The Backend Boy will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server side of applications. This role is critical for ensuring that the back end of the application is robust, efficient, and scalable. The Backend Boy will collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to deliver an integrated system that fulfills the business and user needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality server-side functionality and support front-end developers by integrating their work with the application programming interface (API).
• Troubleshoot, debug applications, and conduct peer code reviews to ensure quality control.
• Work with databases, managing data storage solutions, and ensuring data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in continuous learning and professional development to stay current with emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of back-end programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Ruby, Node.js).
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of server and application deployment processes.
