Job Summary
The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing applications in the Azure environment. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and focuses on utilizing various technologies to enhance software development processes and incident management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage applications within the Azure environment, leveraging client-specific requirements.
- Implement containerization solutions using Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes (K8s).
- Collaborate with the Product Owner (PO), Scrum Master, and Managers to ensure alignment with Agile practices.
- Utilize Java, Ansible, Git, and Jenkins for software development and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Participate in incident management activities to troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
- Contribute to code reviews and maintain high software quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Java, Ansible, Git, and Jenkins.
- Experience with Azure, OpenShift, and/or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Docker containerization technology.
- Understanding of incident management processes.
- Knowledge of Python and/or Kafka is a plus.
- Experience working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other Agile methodologies is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Relevant educational qualifications (e.g., BSc in Computer Science or related field).
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Experience in DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies.
Experience
- Relevant experience in software development and incident management should be demonstrated, with a focus on Agile methodologies.
