Role Summary:

The Head of Sales will lead the sales division, formulating and executing strategies to drive asset growth, enhance client engagement, and expand the firm's market presence. This leadership role demands a deep understanding of the asset management landscape, a proven track record in sales management, and the ability to foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company's objectives to increase Assets Under Management (AUM) and market share.
  • Team Management: Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance of the sales team, ensuring the establishment of a high-performing and motivated sales force.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including institutional investors, high-net-worth individuals, and distribution partners.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and challenges, adapting sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Marketing, Product Development, and Compliance, to ensure cohesive strategies and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish sales targets, monitor performance metrics, and implement corrective actions to achieve desired outcomes.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: 10-15 years of experience in sales management within the asset management or financial services industry, with a demonstrated history of achieving sales targets and leading successful teams.
  • Education: MBA in Sales, Finance, or a related field; AMFI certification is mandatory.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and people management abilities, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a strategic mindset with analytical acumen.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of mutual funds, investment products, and the regulatory environment in India.
  • Network: Established relationships with key industry stakeholders and clients.
