Job Summary

The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for the Specified Investment Fund (SIF) plays a crucial leadership role in shaping the investment strategy and ensuring strong risk-adjusted returns. The CIO will leverage their extensive experience in fund management to guide the team towards achieving the organization's financial goals while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Investment Strategy & Portfolio Oversight: Define and lead the investment strategy for the SIF, overseeing the design, implementation, and execution of passive or arbitrage investment strategies.
• Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure adherence to SEBI regulations and establish robust risk monitoring systems including stress testing and scenario analysis.
• Market Analysis & Innovation: Monitor macroeconomic indicators and market developments; identify areas for improvement leveraging data analytics and technology.
• Leadership & Reporting: Present investment strategies and performance to the Investment Committee and mentor the investment team to align with SAMCO's performance-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in fund management, managing an average Assets Under Management (AUM) of ₹5,000 crores or more.
• Extensive experience in passive fund management and/or arbitrage strategies.
• Strong knowledge of SEBI regulations, compliance frameworks, and risk controls.
• Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing investment teams and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with strong execution discipline in systematic or index-based investing.
• Educational qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related fields.
  • MBA in Finance or professional certifications such as CA, CFA, or FRM are preferred.
