Job Summary

The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting processes, overseeing financial reporting, and ensuring statutory compliance. This role involves partnering with the founders on strategic financial planning, establishing robust financial controls, and providing accurate financial insights to support business growth. The candidate will operate in a fast-paced environment, building finance processes from scratch and contributing to the company's financial health and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting processes, including monthly financial closing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
• Manage Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheet, cash flow, treasury, and monthly Management Information System (MIS).
• Oversee GST, TDS, statutory compliance, audits, and tax-related matters.
• Drive investor reporting and deliver accurate, timely financial insights to the leadership team.
• Establish robust financial controls, systems, and scalable processes to support business growth.
• Partner with the founders on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and strategic financial decisions.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a consumer-facing startup, preferably in subscription-led or microtransaction-based businesses.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition, subscription accounting, and handling high-volume digital transactions.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, and taxation.
• Proven ability to build finance processes from scratch.
• Excellent ownership, problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
• Ability to work directly with founders and operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in consumer tech, digital entertainment, OTT, gaming, media, or content platforms.
• Familiarity with digital transaction systems and scalable financial systems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.

Experience

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or related roles.
• Experience working in startups or high-growth digital businesses is preferred.
