Job Summary
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for leading and institutionalizing the organization’s overall operations, including project delivery, execution management, commercial coordination, procurement governance, resource planning, systems implementation, interdepartmental coordination, and operational scalability. This role demands a highly execution-oriented leader capable of transforming a founder-driven organization into a structured, process-driven, scalable enterprise, acting as the operational bridge between leadership vision, project execution, commercial governance, and organizational growth.
Responsibilities

Overall Operations Management
- Lead and oversee day-to-day operations of the organization.
- Drive operational efficiency across all departments.
- Ensure alignment among Design, Projects, Procurement, Commercials, and Finance.
- Monitor organizational delivery capability and scalability.
- Establish accountability structures across teams.
- Support leadership in strategic operational decision-making.

Project Delivery Governance
- Oversee execution and delivery of all ongoing projects.
- Monitor project timelines, execution quality, resource deployment, and delivery risks.
- Conduct periodic project review meetings and escalation reviews.
- Ensure timely resolution of project bottlenecks.

Operational Systems & Process Implementation
- Develop and institutionalize operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and governance systems.
- Implement systems for project reviews, reporting, approvals, and execution monitoring.

Cross-Functional Coordination
- Ensure effective coordination among Design, Projects, Commercials, Procurement, Finance, and Leadership.

Commercial & Profitability Oversight
- Work closely with the Commercial Head and Finance Team to monitor project profitability and commercial risks.

Procurement & Supply Chain Governance
- Oversee procurement planning and material flow management, ensuring timelines align with project schedules.

Quality & Execution Standards
- Ensure implementation of quality systems and execution standards.
- Drive the reduction of rework and inefficiencies.
Qualifications

Educational Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or B.Arch, or Construction Management / Project Management background.
- Additional qualifications preferred: MBA (Operations / Projects), NICMAR, PMP Certification, and Construction Management Programs.

Experience Requirements
- Total Experience: 15 – 22 Years
- Relevant Industry Experience: Corporate Interiors / Design & Build / Workplace Fit-Outs
- Leadership Experience: Mandatory
- Multi-Project Delivery Experience: Mandatory
