Job Summary
The Equity Research Analyst will play a critical role in the investment team by conducting thorough research and analysis within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. This position is designed for an experienced analyst who will contribute to the firm's investment strategies through insightful recommendations based on comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth company and sector research focusing on the BFSI industry.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks to assess investment opportunities.
- Analyze financial statements to derive key insights and trends affecting performance.
- Track industry trends and economic indicators relevant to the BFSI sector.
- Present actionable investment recommendations to the investment team based on rigorous analysis.
- Support decision-making processes with data-driven insights.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in equity research, with a strong preference for exposure to the BFSI sector.
- Proficient understanding of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and valuation methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Educational qualifications: A degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with both buy-side and sell-side equity research processes.
- Strong research and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent presentation skills for effective communication of investment ideas.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years experience in equity research, ideally focused on the BFSI sector.
Environment
- This is an individual contributor role that works directly with the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) – Equities.
Salary
- Fixed compensation: 40–45 Lakhs, along with Performance-Based Variable Pay.
