Job Summary

The Wi-Fi Software Development Engineer will play a crucial role in developing and commercializing embedded firmware for Wi-Fi technologies. This position demands a strong technical background, particularly in C programming and embedded systems, and requires the ability to deliver high-performance, power-efficient solutions in a real-time environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain embedded firmware for Wi-Fi solutions.
  • Optimize software for performance and low power consumption.
  • Debug and trace issues using tools such as Lauterbach/JTAG and Trace32.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of software.
  • Utilize version control and continuous integration tools to manage codebase effectively.
  • Analyze and resolve complex problems to ensure high-quality results.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Excellent C programming skills with strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
    • Strong understanding of operating system fundamentals and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS.
    • Experience with ARM Cortex A/R/M series.
    • Proficiency in Linux/Unix platforms.
    • Familiarity with software debugging and tracing tools.
    • Knowledge of continuous integration and version control tools (e.g., Git, Gerrit, Jenkins).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving ability and tenacity in finding root causes for complex issues.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Good interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Python for scripting and automation is a plus.

Experience

  • 4 to 8 years of experience in Wi-Fi or embedded firmware development.
  • Experience in developing embedded protocol software for resource-constrained real-time environments is advantageous.
