AVP Sales (South)
Job Summary
We are seeking an AVP Sales – South to lead business development initiatives across the South region. This role is pivotal in acquiring and managing strategic partnerships with Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) and other financial entities, contributing directly to the company's revenue objectives and fostering long-term relationships.
Responsibilities
- Drive business development and revenue growth across the South region.
- Identify, acquire, and onboard new MFI partners and financial institutions.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with existing key accounts to maximize business opportunities.
- Build and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders within partner organizations.
- Understand partner requirements and recommend suitable insurance solutions.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, Underwriting, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing partner support.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close strategic partnerships.
- Monitor sales performance, partner engagement, and revenue targets.
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and identify new business opportunities within the financial services ecosystem.
- Ensure timely execution of partner onboarding and account management initiatives.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in B2B Sales, Enterprise Sales, or Strategic Partnerships.
- Mandatory experience selling insurance products to Microfinance Institutions (MFIs).
- Prior experience in an InsurTech company is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of the MFI ecosystem, embedded insurance, or financial inclusion.
- Proven track record of acquiring and managing enterprise/key accounts.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently as an Individual Contributor (IC).
- Strong communication, presentation, and business development skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in digital transformation in the financial services domain.
- Familiarity with partnership ecosystems in financial services.
Experience
5–10 years of relevant experience in sales roles focused on B2B and partnerships, particularly in the InsurTech space.
