Founding Technical Support Engineer

Job Summary

As our Founding Technical Support Engineer, you will work directly with customers to solve real technical issues. This is a high-ownership role where your work directly impacts customer happiness and product quality. You will be integral in building our support system from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • First Week:
    • Learn the product, customer workflows, and current support setup.
    • Start handling simple support queries.
  • First Month:
    • Serve as the main technical contact for customer issues.
    • Respond to all support tickets within 30 minutes.
    • Resolve most issues within 2 hours.
    • Own support across Slack, email, chat, and phone.
    • Debug and troubleshoot platform problems.
    • Improve internal and customer-facing documentation.
  • 3 Months & Beyond:
    • Build scalable support systems and workflows.
    • Create and maintain documentation, FAQs, and guides.
    • Monitor system performance and proactively flag issues.
    • Manage relationships in the developer community.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in technical support or a similar role.
  • Background in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Fast learner with a bias for action.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with developer tools, security/code quality platforms, or cloud/AI products.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in technical support or a similar capacity.

  • Location: Bangalore

What we're looking for

  • Assess candidate’s expertise in crafting and optimizing dataset SQL queries for effective data retrieval.
  • Assess proficiency in Typescript, React, and Python with relevant academic background in CSE or similar disciplines.
  • Evaluate practical proficiency with AWS and related cloud systems in technical support roles.
  • Evaluate candidate’s ability to debug and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Assess clarity, effectiveness, and adaptability in technical and interpersonal communication.
  • Measure ability to respond promptly to support queries and meet specified response times.
  • Evaluate the depth and relevance of technical support or similar experience.
  • Assess familiarity with developer tools, security/code quality platforms, or related AI products.
  • Evaluate academic background in Computer Science or related fields from reputable institutions.
  • Assess independent initiative, ownership, and ability to build scalable support systems.
